Fort Nelson Chamber of Commerce

The Fort Nelson Chamber of Commerce is a collective voice for business in the Northern Rockies Regional District and works to promote and enhance trade and commerce for the benefit of the region.  Contact them for more information on what is happening with businesses in Fort Nelson.

Fort Nelson Public Library

Located in the Town Square, the Fort Nelson Public Library has a fantastic range of books, periodicals and information resources as well as public use computers.  The library is open Mon - Wed 12-5pm and 7-9pm; Thu-Fri 10am-5pm and Sat-Sun 12-4pm.  Visit their website for more details

Northern Lights College

Northern Lights College is the main post-secondary education provider for Fort Nelson.  Programming available at the Fort Nelson Campus includes: Career and College Preparation, University Arts and Sciences, Applied Business Technology, and Welding.  Check their website or call for all opportunities.

Phoenix Theatre

The Phoenix Theatre has been Fort Nelson's entertainment center since 1992. The Center of  visual, musical and performing arts in the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality. School District #81

The Fort Nelson School District has 5 school serving the Fort Nelson area.  These include J.S. Clark Elementary School and G..W. Carlson Elementary School (Kindergarten - Grade 4), R.L. Angus Elementary School (Grades 5-7) and Fort Nelson Secondary School (Grades 8-12).  They have one rural school, Toad River School which serves students from Kindergarten to Grade 12.

Fort Nelson News

The Fort Nelson News is a locally produced newspaper which comes out weekly.  It covers local events as well as regional news and has a classified section.  You buy buy the paper at many locations around town or subscribe to have it delivered to you.  They also have an electronic version you can subscribe to!

ESL Tutoring
